Whats up with my thumb?

on sunday (4 days ago) i hurt my thumb hit a wall ( accident) and i felt something click/pop it was hot, red and a bit swollen, i couldnt move it and it hasnt got any better whats wrong with it any ideas thanks xxxxxx
