LA - Which are good places from this list:?

Fresno has the highest murder rate of any city in California. My mother-in-law lived there, and it's horrible. Ugly, hot and far away from anything ...... Indian Wells is in the desert, near Palm Springs. If you like it 120 in the summer, you'll love it there. But, there's nothing at all to do there ....... Sacramento is the capitol of the state, but still not much doing there (can't believe the other answer never even heard of Sacramento! What kind of idiot doesn't know the name of the capitol of his state???)........ Inglewood and Reseda aren't the safest, nicest places to live either. San Gabriel is ok, but farther away from LA. Glendale and Sherman Oaks are the nicest places you have listed here, and close enough to the city & beaches....... Since you listed Sacramento, have you considered San Francisco?
