Who were the Gentile people of the Bible?

That is an interesting page because Christianity is a Gentile religion. Here we see Jesus specifically telling the twelve apostles not to go to the Gentiles. In other pages Jesus specifically states that he was only sent to the lost children of Israel, and even calls the Gentiles dogs.
