Why does this dude keep calling?

okay....so I worked with this guy on a project awhile back. We live in two different states. When the project ended he went back to where he was. Long story short, this dude keeps calling to see if I want to work on other projects with him. So I'm like, why does he keep calling to chit-chat? LOL. Is this guy into me or maybe he just likes to feel important and hear himself talk?? What do you all think? BTW, I ain't seen this dude in like 4 months!!
