WHAT ARE WE...WE BOTH ARE MEN BUT WHAT THE HECK ARE WE

I have a male friend, he claims to be my friend, he says good things to me, hes kinda concerned about me, but sometimes he is so possessive, jelous and when he needs me i never let him down but when i need him he just doesnt help me, we have had fights for we think we like each other (gay sense). When i ask him if i am his friend he remains quiet, he changes the subject...the other day i ast him....''you say you have no one to go out with,..,so what am i to you?...he only sed..'its ok''...each time i ask him what we are he says nothing, but he calls me...he tells me i am his friend, is he afraid of something?...is he a hypocrite?....the truth is that i like him...theres some kinda strong feeliing which doesnt put us apart...so what kinda thing is going on here?=
